36 single releases, numerous compilations, world tours, a regular club night at Panorama Bar, branded collaborations, books, CDs, t shirts, pillowcases, stickers: it's safe to say that Made to Play has come a long way from its humble beginnings as Jesse Rose's output for tracks designed exclusively for the mix.
Re:Play - Five years of Made to Play marks the fifth anniversary of the label with a limited collectors edition two CD compilation and 48 page book.
The book features interviews with all the Made to Play artists and features a behind the scenes look at Made to Play now, then and in the future. It took nearly a year to compile the book and record all the tracks and the result is something very special providing a compelling insight to the label.
CD1 - Made to Play Remixes & Collaborations
Over the last six months Jesse got the Made to Play collective to collaborate on ten brand new tracks and remixes. It was the first time most of the roster had worked together on projects and the results speak for themselves. From the disco bomb of Jesse & Riva Star's 'Start The Weekend' to the impeccably produced old skool throw back of Renaissance Man, Payme and Idiotproof's 'Moonlighting' there are some very special moments to be heard on here. On the remix front each partnership bestows a very fresh and unique interpretation over the Made to Play standout tracks of the last 12 months.
This disc also includes one original production and one remix produced by all the artists together, a world first we believe!
CD2 - Selected & Mixed By Jesse Rose
For the first time in the labels history Jesse Rose has put together his favourite tracks, looking back over the last five years at some truly massive highlights including Oliver $'s 'Hotflash', the Round Table Knights versus Bauchamp anthem 'Calypso' and Zombie Disco Squad's introductory smash 'Vie!' Nodding to some huge remix efforts like Duke Dumont's 'Live from Brooklyn remix' of 'The Deacon' or Claude vonstroke's monster remix of 'Scanning For Viruses' this is the first compilation Jesse has mixed since his seminal 'Body Language' CD for Get Physical in 2007.
