After several Rare Funk compilations including Tobias Kirmayers´ Movements series, now it’s time for a Rare Jazz collectors item on Perfect Toy Records. “I intended to realize the Jazz.Toys project since the launch of my nu label, as I used to compile those kind of mixed Jazz and Library compilations like Pop Boutique 1-3, Pop Electronique and The Spinning Wheel of Jazz 1 + 2 together with my former Spinning Wheel Records companions Reinhard Wimmer and Peter Joppich. The concept of Jazz.Toys is quite easy: bringing together independent Jazz tunes and Jazz related music from different times with different grooves, but always with a special flavour – most of them have been my favourite tunes for years. The result is a mixture of terrific dancefloor jazz bombs I use to play in my DJ sets: brasilian and soul flavoured deep jazz tracks as well as heavy jazz funk.” Marcus Hacker, 2005
