Gottwood is a festival with a refreshingly unpretentious approach to the curation and exhibition of electronic music. Deemed by RA to have 'a near perfect mix of ingredients', they have consistently proven their ability to nail a combination of fun and quality. During the spring of 2014, the team decided to expand operations and apply their core principles behind the music festival to the running of a record label. With the view of harnessing the little things that have kept Gottwood special, Gottwax offers a platform for close friends of the festival and presents astutely selected productions, cut to wax for the love of nothing other than music. With their first release including work from Behr, Rob Amboule, OJSmooth and Gottwood founder Eldoko they now ready their second. Gottwax EP2, a limited press 12" on "Hot Pink" coloured vinyl, was compiled in the late stages of 2014 and features tracks from Jascha Hagen, Luv Jam, Ruf Dug and Cottam? an olio of grooves and tempos with slow­mo disco and wonked out house on the A­Side and analogue synth jams and tribal business on the flip. Built predominantly 'out of the box', GOTT002 showcases four producers with a penchant for hardware bringing a meld of palpable textures, thrumming percussion and glowing synth tones together in a rich and cohesive package. With all 4 contributors on the bill for 2015, the second in Gottwax's catalogue will no doubt soundtrack some special moments in amongst the trees this summer during what's certain to be the teams most accomplished and exciting event to date.br />
