Bitches Brew is releasing a reissue series of the definitive tracks from out of print Bitches Brew classics. Showing off the diversity and timelessness of the catalogue, the series will be grouped into four distinct sounds. The series launches with Bitches Brew Nu-Soul featuring the label’s most popular release, the highly sought-after BAMBÚ cover of the Stevie Wonder classic “The Real Thing” (originally recorded by Sergio Mendes). Bambú is Cosmo, Ben Mitchell (Sao Benitez / Mr. Hermano), Billie Godfrey (Beverley Knight / Jool Holland Band) and Nicolas Matar (Cielo New York). The live sounding Latin-tinged song was revered by Dimitri of Paris and Body & Soul’s Danny Krivit and other soul DJs. On the flip is the Bitches Brew’s debut release “Natural Thing", the first ever collaboration between soul singer JINADU (later of the Beauty Room with Kirk DeGeorgio) and broken beat kingpin DOMU which set the soul/jazz dance floors alight. The digi-bundle includes their follow-up “Turning the Tide". Its followed up by CHARLIE DARK’s (Blacktronica, Attica Blues) lovely bassed-out and soca-tinged Dubstrumental of “Jam” by Panic featuring MC Chick-A-Boo who is now Soul 2 Soul’s lead MC.
