First up is ‘Day Off’, an uber-Balearic cut sounding like a Jose Padilla-era Cafe Del Mar classic or maybe a warm-up track for Alfredo or Leo Mas at Amnesia in that heady summer of ’87. Next comes the brilliant Dub To Me’, a Compass Point Studio creation mixed by Robert Palmer and surfacing for the first time here on vinyl. ‘Pull Dub’ on the flip is another heavy Compass Point gem - an unreleased Larry Levan outtake, with crazy dubbed out guitars and synths lacing the Paradise Garage classic. Lastly we have a great extended version of a long-lost New Romantic floor-filler from one of the UK pioneers of electronic music - one for lovers of the Greg Wilson/Trevor Jackson sound.
