Very interesting and unusual 1970's P.C.P inspired compilation featuring a highly charged mix of psych funk, prog, afro, glam, cosmic, rock and disco. Some very rare pieces on here such as the cosmic reggae inspired 360 degrees the groovy psych prog of the Creative craniums and the raw prototype psych funk of Kid Rock (not that one). Although the next record bombed the flip side contained this wonderful piece of psychedellic groove on Bla Bla 1971rnrnDiabolic man- ''Diabolic man instrumental'' needs no introduction much loved fazed psych disco as championed by the legendary dj Harvey on his Sarcastic mix and also noted by Lovefingers EMI 1974rnrnBear Brothers - ''Red shoe trucken'' readily available but still obscure amazingly heavy psych prog disco dancer, b-side to the better known ''Bondiago'' appeared on well known krautrock label Zebra as well as Dart and Phillips 1973.rnrnElectric max band - ''Knives feathers and fire'' Its pretty rare and its the b-side again this time to ''Mick and max'' produced by the legendary french advent garde composer Igor wakhevitch (who even wrote music for Salvador dali and his opera Etre dieu)) way ahead of its time psych country disco rock incredible production Reprise 1972.rnrnBig wheel - ''Shake a tail part 2'' Well known tough glam disco rock stomper which appeared on the much loved Velvet tinmine compilation in 2003 this is the instrumental version on the b-side Bell records 1973.rnrnSaint preux - ''Voyage'' Multi talented french composer who is known in his native country for many classical works but has also released more mainstrem music on the legendary dance label Carrere this very obscure instrumental psych funk rock is taken from an early album ''Le paino sous la mar'' on Heloise disques 1972.rnrnCreative craniums - ''C.C.K 54'' Very rare piece of instrumental psych prog funk from an obscure Belgium prog rock trio 1973 Splendid records.rnrnOctober cherries - ''Are you ready'' Famous psych rockers from Singapore who had much chart sucess even influencing AndrewLloyd Webber who modified their 1969 hit ''Far away now'' for ''Don't cry for me Argentina'' they were also hugely influential on the Bangkok psychedelic scene as the Vietnam war bought an overspill of Gi's and this psych freakbeat dancer was the flip of there top ten hit in Holland ''All things work together'' 1970 EMIrnrnOrange peel- ''I got no time'' Previously heard on the legendary Circus Days compilation this German band formed in 1968 and were at the head of the krautrock movement along side Faust and Amon duul.However they dispanded after only one album but not before releasing this kraut funk monster on Admiral 1970.rnrnKid Rock- ''Doctor rock'' super obscure b-side spanish release only on poplandiarnrnNing - ''Machine'' Well known dj favourite (sounding like a cross between Hawkwind and Garry glitter with vocals by Divine) this psych glam disco stomper was the fruits of an obscure psych soul band from Coventry who were notorious for not talking to the press or there label for fear of being predictable. They ended up playing 7 nights a week in the basement of a cafe as no one would give them gigs, this their only single came out on Decca 1971.
