Speaking frankly, this is a record from friends for friends. Some of us may be living in capital city, but we have our roots in the beautiful area of Franconia, down in the south. The golden land of the rollin “r“ and the smooth “d“. Doesn't sound Würzburg, Nürnberg & Hilpoltstein familiar to you? No? No worries, we are going to change that forever. Being franconian is our very motto, frank music is our thing. We say: Let's be frank! Well, our little land is very famous for its Bocksbeutel, Lebkuchen, blaue Zipfel, Drei im Weggla, Schäuferle and last but not least: e weng Hausmusigg! Damn, did you even know that Schneewittchen was born there? But enough history lesson now, next time we'll tell you a bissle about Meerreddich, the mighty Christkindl and, of course, Grumbern. This is fei actually about music. On this record, one side (to be more precise: the Boxbeudel side) is made by Johannes Albert, following his vinyl-debut on the allmighty WHITE imprint. Two small house tracks that almost sound a little analog and raw. 'Been so strong' comes straight 117 bpm with darker chords and tickling hihats. 'City Chicken Rhythm Express' is a slow stomper between the early Big Muff and the late XXXX. Or, maybe not. Well, lets just call it Zellerau-House, right? Just the kind of tracks you will expect from a „Doldi“ like him. By the way, if you ever stumble into city chicken, go for the meal! Another side (the Drei-im-Weggla side) contains the other side of the medal, as the saying goes. Welcome new and old friends! We're proud to introduce the Inner Love Orchestra by Leaves! Our talent scout Mr. Leaves found them right at the “Plärrer“ in Nürnberg-Zentral and I tell you... they're HOT, spicy and on the love tip. A rising star on the horizon is Jool aka Edit Piafra (and also part of the new supergroup Achterbahn D'Amour). Throwing partys and djing since 1877 in Nürnberg-City and around he's a favorite of ours for a long time and he's also representing that raw pumping velvet sound that you cant compare to other dance music.
