Another spot on the map of the Weevil Neighbourhood: after our latest excursion into the intensely droney yet fragile and unstable musique concrete of Repetition/Distract's 'Old Weevil Neighbourhood' (Cat.No: PICNIC), we continue mapping the terrain with our eyes closed and our ears wide open. BLINDFOLD comes as a mid-tempo two-tracker from an artist who wants to stay anonymous. A side 'All Those Colours...' is a Dubtechno inspired piece that contrasts its laid-back soundscapes with a broken beat and hectic highhats that converge with large rooms of reverberation. '...We Cannot See', the counterpart on side B, contrasts static drumwork with shuffling breaks and early hardcore sounds with noisey drones that cold-warmly cover more or less the whole piece. Official release date is set for the 20th of June 2011
