U-Dee is the new raw, stripped back, floor-focussed alias of the man known as Uffe. Having previously released here on Delusions as well as Tartelet and Pets The Amsterdam-based producer recently felt the need to distinguish between his increasingly more experimental, maverick and leftfield leanings as Uffe, so U-Dee was born. This is his debut under the new alias but he already has new material in the making for a Delusions follow up. With his second LP entitled Now just about to drop on the brilliant Tartlet imprint, and garnering amazing reviews in the process, we feel that Uffe’s, and now U-Dee’s star is very much in the ascendency. Here on the Love Is Gone EP we’re treated to 5 tracks of lo-fi, minimal DJ tools full of character and a quirkiness that come like a breath of fresh air.
