Following the successful Peven Everett album release remixed by New York house legend, Timmy Regisford and studio partner Adam Rios this summer, Tribe keep the continuity coming and are proud to present the first single from Timmy Regisford's brand new album 'At The Club', featuring Brooklyn vocalist Lynn Lockamy, which is due for release on Tribe Records at the beginning of next year.
We've decided to release this limited 12' pressing, off the back of some serious hype over in New York about this record in the last few months, where it's become an anthem at Timmy Regisford's Sunday morning Area Code party. Youtube links of the likes of Joe Claussell playing the track have been appearing at a rapid rate every week, and we're expecting these 500 copies to fly out very quickly with a new digital remix package due out at the end of the year.
At The Club immediately puts you in the position of being in a dark club as the first few bars of beats and haunting synths come in and then Lynn's sexy hooky vocals tempt you in sending you straight onto the dance floor with her! There's no doubt that this one will definitely have people bouncing around in clubs around the world.
Timmy has been in the music industry more than 25 years first working as for MCA Records as their A&R Director, where he developed artists Loose Ends and Colonel Abrams. He would soon go on to sign acts Guy and Eric B & Rakim. Regisford later became Vice President of A&R at Motown Records, signing acts Milira, Blaze, Basic Black, Today, and Johnny Gill.
Along with his A&R work for these labels he is credited in many remix projects with Patti LaBelle, Bobby Womack, Gladys Knight aswell as being one of the most respected djs in the world. This new album project seems him move into unchartered territory with every track designed to move people on the floor both through the song and beat.
Look out for the 'At The Club' album which will be dropping in stores, January 2011, featuring two other tracks with Lynn Lockamy, other amazing collaborations with the sensational Arnold Jarvis and other unreleased
remixes from other established artists such as Fela Kuti, Kenny Bobien and Jaidene Veda.
