Thieves Like Us is a Swedish American trio based in NYC. With a true “charme” , they developed a fresh, romantic aestethic. Between a pop, funky na?ve universe “? la” Hot Chip and the german krautrock scene? As all parties seemed electro and techno, they begun to dj, playing old krautrock, italo disco, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Factory Records stuff, and even new hip-hop. Later on they discovered French filter house and added this to their repertoire “In Berlin, we heard and saw enough electronic music we didn’t like. We thought we could do it better so we started our own band.” As they say. Drugs in my Body is a pale, thick disco ode to feel better. And it’s got something like a B side from Daft Punk’s Discovery album: poppy and very addictive at the end. Fass is a dance party for sleepwalkers with a lot of souvenirs coming from Factory, to be played in your local club of entertainment.
