The Vulva String Quartett is the wonderful house-project of Hanno Leichtmann, who is better known as Static. inside the elektronika universe. Already last year, VSO has ecstasized experts with its debut 4-tracker (Core 027). Leichtmann`s trademark are those thick glittering basslines, around which he builds quite playful house-tracks that nevertheless are containing a straight structure. Tracks that seem to have an affinity with the enraptured hedonism of an early Luomo. Just now, Hanno is playing the drums in Jan Jelinek`s live band. From there, a simply stunning Farben-Remix was only one step away. “Farben says: it`s out of sight”, and with this message, Jelinek gives the original track and this maxi its name. If he therewith refers to the movie-like visual power of VSQ-tracks, has not been part of the record. But he is right – no matter how hard you try: “it`s out of sight”.
