Tashaki Miyaki accidentally became a band after a late night jam in early 2011. Shorty after, the Los Angeles based duo began writing and recording songs for their self titled debut EP which was released on UK vinyl label, The Sounds of Sweet Nothing in autumn 2011. So far this year the band have played SXSW and released a limited press 7" of Everly Brothers covers with Rough Trade. August 6 sees the release of their new double A single ‘Best Friend’ + ‘Tonight’ on Luv Luv Luv records. Tashaki Miyaki will also be touring in the UK, Europe in July followed by Canada supporting Florence & the Machine and NYC. Dates as listed below.
