On the title track ‘Conversea’ the singer, producer and labelowner Taprikk Sweezee unfolds his ?irresistible soulvocals on top of dark bassgrounds and crispy broken beats. ?’Peek’ lead to a sphere of Electronica and soundscapes, while ‘Runner’ can be defined somewhere between Ambient, Hip Hop and Jazz due to its acoustic piano miniatures.?With his delicately arranged and sensitive vocal harmonies Taprikk Sweezee reminds of D’angelos ‘Voodoo’ and shows a very different side than on his collaborations with Michael Fakesch (Funkstörung, !K7), Kidkanevil (Stateless, First Word Records) or Towa Tei (Dee Lite).?Since all songs were produced in 2003 listening to these complex sound sculptures feels a bit like travelling through time.
