July this year saw Cultivated Electronics release it’s final part in a four part series of Compilation 12”s featuring tracks from Artists including Silicon Scally, Gods of Technology, Point 7 and ADJ to name a few. The label is now proud to present it’s first solo artist EP from label head Sync 24. This release rounds up a good year for Sync 24 who has already appeared on the recent Touchin’ Bass compilation “Geometry” with Alpha 606 as well as having a track licensed to the Nu School Electro volume 1 compilation from Streetsounds as one half of Signal Type with Matt Whitehead and appearing on 2 12”s on his own Cultivated Electronics label.
The EP kicks off with the title track “We Rock Non-Stop”. Tight Kick drums layered with pitched 808 subs set the basis of the track. Chopped up machine and voice samples are then layered with smooth pads and delay’s to complete the track. The second track of the EP “Solvent Abuse” see’s Sync 24 sticking to his dark roots. Distorted vocals, haunting pads, trippy sequences and dirty bass combined with rolling beats and subs!!! The reverse side of the 12” is slightly deeper, techy affair. “Chosen Module” is a spacious wash of delays and pads mixed with robotic bass and crisp round beats. The final track "Mario’s Mushroom" carries on the spaced out trippy theme of the side with more spooky pads, bubbly bass lines and hypnotic rhythms.
