Stephen is a Scotsman but sounds like he is from Detroit - he was also on BK013 where he shared an EP with Hiver and provided us with the excellent 'Theme from SAPL'. This time he's on his own... Early 90's UK Electronica and of course, the inescapable Detroit blueprint run deep through this one, the unmistakably chewy, tangible heft of analogue sonics married perfectly with emotive melodies. A welcome whiff of Azymuth era Kenny Larkin clings to the whole EP, while Cologne collective Noorden regular Ikpathua lays out a spacious and deeply atmospheric rendition too...
