THE SOUND OF YOUNG DÜSSELDORF. In the last three years, Lucas Croon, Nikolai Szymanski and Martin Sonnensberger have created a cosmos of driving bass lines, danceable rhythms, floating pads and shimmering electric guitars. Using repetitive lyrics with double meanings, analogue synths and icy cold clackering computers, STABIL ELITE revive Krautrock and the avant-garde moments of the German New Wave. They combine glamor and emotion and cosmic transcendence, which is well aware of its musical heritage, yet does not seem overly reflective for even a second. One can immediately hear where this stylish band comes from. Just think of that city on the Rhine, which has become a work of art in itself, and its electronic musical history, which has significantly influenced many styles, from hip-hop to techno. After compilation contributions to the Düsseldof DIY label "Themes for Great Cities" and the American "Mathematics" label, run by Jamal Moss, the boys from the Rhineland celebrated their debut with the GOLD ep in 2011. For GOLD, the Paris-based photographer Kira Bunse shot a music video on Super 8mm, which very authentically shows the band in their Düsseldorf environment. Also involved in GOLD as a drummer and additional producer was Jan Philipp Janzen (Von Spar) and, as a guest musician, Jörg Burger (The Modernist). GOLD was the theme song of C/O Pop Festival 2011 in Cologne. There debut album DOUZE POUZE was released in 2012 and it caused great excitement in the German press. From underground fanzines to glossy fashion magazine and even in TV shows, the band was hailed as the grandchildren of Kraftwerk and denoted as pioneers of a new German Kraut scene. Now, with the re-release as 12" vinyl, the debut single GOLD is available internationally.
