Simon Garcia joins the Freerange fold for their 196th release where he delivers two brilliant originals that seem to encapsulate the label’s sound perfectly. The Spanish producer has slowly but surely built his reputation over the last few years with quality releases on Guy Gerber’s Supplemental Facts, Ripperton’s Perspectiv and most recently Steve Bug’s Poker Flat Recordings. Radians instantly draws you in with a heavy, looped-up rolling bassline and driving hats creating an intense groove for the slowly building chords and arpeggiating layers of synths. Echoing claps bring hints of techno to the track and the weaving theramin line throws in another curveball when trying to pigeonhole the style of this track. Best to just say that we loved this on first listen, reminding us of some of the best Milton Jackson releases over the years.
