Wallias Band were an Ethiopian jazz/funk outfit active from the 70s until the 90s. They recorded and worked with Mulatu Astatke. They were amongst the first Ethipian bands to tour the USA. On Muziqa Muziqa saxophonist Seyoum Gebreyes collaborates with the Wallias Band. Very little is known about Seyoum... Muziqa Muziqa is an uptempo Ethio - funk jam, with a soaring vocal, driving organ, drums and brass. Muziqawi Slit is a chugging, hypnotic Ethiopian jazz funk groover featuring organ player by Hailu Mergia.
