From berlin germany, the brother trio Santé has hit House and Techno floors alike in a time where only good electric dance music is mentioned. With a couple of Ep´s for Rekids and Souvenir, their productions have cracked into the sets of Radioslave, Luciano, Loco Dice, Chris Liebing, Adam Beyer or Anja Schneider. Relocating to Berlin, Philipp took over fine-tuning for Tiefschwarz in the studio and start touring the world with his brothers as a liveact (WMC, Watergate, Sonar, Fabric…). Their new EP on Souvenir, “Damabalaa has every element, which we can expect of a summer anthem. The sun, the style and the soul! The opening four-to-the-floor beat of the original version set the soundscape. Yes, we are talking about House music, but the kind of House that speaks not only to the feet but also to the mind. Are we slaves to our beliefs? Straight from the heart and soul, the sad and harrowing lyrics of “Damabalaa backed up by some introspective keynotes stands for an obvious invitation to think about the insignificance of human beings. But loyal to the House music tenet, the Santé brothers believe in the primacy of the present time, give an irresistible ethno twist to their production, blown away by Pan-pipes and African chants and turns the dance-floor into a new heaven. “In the seventh day", we might be still dancing on “Damabalaa". On the B-side, the percussion-led “Dub version brings the bass-line and the rolling drum on the forefront and adds extensive echo and reverb effects. Few well placed dubbed haunting vocals and piano samples are all what it takes to make of “Damabalaa a true stomper!
