This is Sam Paglia's fifth album, the Italian eclectic musician best known from his two Irma albums "B-movie heroes" and "Nightclubtropez" which made him a cult artist on the international Lounge music panorama and a well respected Hammond organ player, capable of being funk, easy and a high level soul-jazz interpreter. He is a composer, songwriter, cartoonist and performer. Sam has melted different genres of music in his couldron and has come up with a personal and original product of his own. With "Electric Happiness" Sam makes his statement as an "Electric poet". Maintaining a diversified style on most fronts, but recognizable and referable as a unique extroverse character. Given today's flat and un-courageous music scene, a rare and appreciable try! Sam's music is a sort of diary, notes of his sould translated into music or simple games of rhythm and passion for his collection vintage keyboards returning to play without industry compromise or market requirements. A histrionic character inclined to entertain, he has always professed to an "electrified crooner", clever with stage presence and creating an emotional climax during his performance. Sam believes in communicating with his audience a lot, from the start he has tried to make them part of his world by using humour and his irresistible music which always gets the crowd participating. All of his world can be felt on this latest record: the soul, jazz, funk, psychadelic intimist, beat, rock, bossanova and last but not least the Hammond organ to make this timesless product. "Electric Happiness" is a definitive claim of a free artist, unique and skilled, incapable of being caged into the usual kind of musical stereotypes. He is ready to make his own way as of those great artists who's names are synonimous of quality. Sam Paglia group essentially consists of a trio with himself on the Hammond organ, his brother Simo on the drums and Bob Dusi on the guitar. A singer, sax player, keyboard and bass player and percussionist are added to the group as and when required depending on bookings.
