Dubstep’s first big crossover star comes out swinging with his chart topping hit “Hold On” featuring Amber Coffman of the Dirty Projectors. Combining his signature sound with Coffman’s soaring vocals, Rusko has created the perfect crossover single to bring the dubstep genre into the mainstream. “Hold On” has been getting attention ever since the O.M.G. album was released: It has flown up the UK charts getting B-listed on Radio 1, and the brand new video for it recently debuted on Pitchfork and NME.
For this single release, “Hold On” gets the remix treatment from some of the hottest artists in the game. DnB mastermind Subfocus stormed the blogs recently with his version of the track which has the largest build up / drop we’ve heard all year. UK electro pioneer Tom Stephan transforms “Hold On” into a big room electro house banger fit for any raver’s playlist, while 12th Planet pushes the bass lower than we ever thought possible.
