DJ Madd, has a dirty secret. A secret he has managed to keep under wraps for half a decade. After a host of therapists and addiction councillors I am saddened to report DJ Madd has lost his battle with Crunk. With a strong career carved deep into the flesh Dubstep, Hungary’s primary export spreads his wings even further to present his new “Matching Hat & Trainers” Persona: Random Person.
“Computer Music” kicks in the door with bruising bass drums and neck-snapping snares, a nod to Premiers deft drum edits of golden era’s past. As our 50’s American documenter introduces us to the joys of bit-crushed funk, synths sweep up the dance floor survivors with a bombardment of lazer-melody and binary soul. “D-Pad” continues with Random P’s future b-boy onslaught, listeners will need their sea legs as time signatures are bent and squeezed through his heavy gravity beat and bass manipulation.
