And as if out of nowhere... Prinzhorn Dance School announce their return with new single - "Seed, Crop, Harvest." We haven't heard a thing from Tobin Prinz and Suzi Horn for three years (their debut LP was released on DFA back in 2007) but they've been far from work-shy. They toured extensively, then came home and built their own bespoke recording studio (The Red Shed) - and learned how to use it. Time consuming endeavors which saw them drop off the music radar. Which might just explain the title of the equally charged b-side "off the radar, off the system". In their own words: "We've been busy. Just not busy making records. You have to live too. You can only write so many songs about motorway service stations and airports." They recorded and mixed both songs themselves in the Red Shed, with Bob Weston taking on mastering duties. ...Prinzhorn Dance School are back! And DFA could not be more proud. "Seed, Crop, Harvest" is available on digital download and on 7" vinyl (with full art picture sleeve) on October 12th, 2010 <x-apple-data-detectors://7> on DFA Records. "Sparse, antagonistic, and in-your-face. In other words it sounds like Prinzhorn Dance School - and that's a good thing." - Pitchfork, "A brilliantly skeletal slice of dry-as-a-bone art rock" - The Guardian
