Sounding startlingly fresh in the production department considering its considerable age, this forgotten gem from 80s champ John Rocca should be worming its way into the bags of boogie / electronic disco fetishists everywhere. “Melodies Of Love” glides along on a perfect Moog bassline while Rocca himself delivers a thoroughly androgynous vocal. The chord progressions and sassy guitar licks are impeccably placed for maximum sleaze, without coming on too strong. “Walking In The Rain” is a more fluffy slice of MOR with plenty of slick saxing, and it only serves to make you wonder where pop music could have gone so wrong in the decades to come.
