There´s another new, exciting talent to be found on Moodmusic. John Muder, known for his partnership with Chopstick as Chopstick&Johnjon has this teamed up with Nils Penner, a Hamburg native who´s earning his living in the world of grafic design but has lost his love in music. As a team, Penner+Muder brings some white boy soul into the dancefloors of our taste, mixing modern influences with the soulful voice of Mr Muder. “Are You Lost” brings back those shivers from 15 years back when you heard Chicago house the first in the right atmosphere and mind-set, giving the edge to the night. It´s a housesound we all know and love, but the sincere contribution from John makes the song something to remember. Not to exercise economical suicidial tendencies running a label we brought something more floor compatible for the pussies around us who can´t play a vocal tune. The dub of “Are You Lost” is a groovy affair, taking the essence of the original and putting the house sound of Berlin right where it belongs. It´s deep n nasty and we love it. For the flip “Millenium Falcon” takes crisp beats, a murder bassline and an evolving synthline making a simple but destructive floor burner from the finest calibre.
