Italian producer Roberto Semeraro aka Pearl River Sound drops his first vinyl 12” on Meda Fury Records, coming after two strong cassette releases on Further and Indole Records. Across the five cuts, the Italian offers a strong hardware-focused sound laced with a subtle touch of wistful sentiment; leading off with the gleaming glacial synths and bold toms of ‘Remember Every Moment’, through to the blistering lysergic chug of ‘Ecid’ and the icy cold, introspective ‘Imagine’. Cymbal rides lead the way on the somber ‘The Window’, whilst the final piece ‘La Mia Citta Di Notte’ sees the melancholic mood at its most poignant supported by a rubbery bassline and tinkling percussion.
