Physically, our latest addition to the Correspondant roster, Patrice Baumel, is by far the biggest. So, it seems somewhat fitting that his debut on Correspondant is simply HUGE. As a DJ Patrice made a name for himself as one of the resident selectors at the sorely missed Amsterdam club Trouw, and as a DJ he broke in to the music scene with a Roar (quite literally) on Get Physical back in 2007, and hasn't let up since, with his recent releases on Kompakt seeing him hone his powerful style which is wholly in evidence on his first ever release as part of the Correspondant family. Both originals, "North" and "This World" showcase a punchy polyphony that is as easily as big as anything we've ever released on Correspondant (and we know how to do BIG!), while Voiski's remix of North brings the original's arps to the fore and takes the track to the most danceable fringes of IDM.
