For Om1ji, time is a flat circle, and he scrapes rave's decades-long history for the dancefloor's most indelible gestures, lurching from the darkness of 2020s Berlin into the back rooms of the UK bass scene, then flipping the script with ear-piercing hardstyle thumps and reverberating samples. And he takes a radically different approach on the effervescent 'That Voice', curving angelic chorals around a polychromatic lattice of dizzy synths and restrained, urgent percussive tics. A fusion of nervy hard techno and triumphant trance, it's a brief intake of breath before Om1ji tries his hand at acid with 'Lost in Void'.
