Olde Gods is the joint venture of Guillamino (Bankrobber, Third Ear, ICAN, RBMA) and JMII (100% Silk, Hivern Discs and former Aster member). The duo debuted last year on Barcelona-based label Minor Planets with their Tempel / Gerade EP, a double single that hit the stores on 2014 as a 7” and presented their signature blend of analog indebted House jams, reverb-soaked vocals and dense ambiences.
This second release brings us Olde Gods in dance-floor mode with Shigatsu Kokonoka, a complex song that extends the duo's conception of how club music is supposed to sound. The single comes with a remix from Live at Robert Johnson's affiliate Benedikt Frey -whose wild take showcases a personal love for Industrial textures and unpredictable House patterns- and JMII himself, who extends and transforms Shigatsu Kokonoka on an euphoric Club-friendly remix that retains the melodic DNA from the original version.
So far, they’ve had support from the likes of Red Bull Music Academy, Beats In Space and star DJ/producer John Talabot, as well as main spanish music magazines and radio shows like Siglo21, Lapsus Radio, RockdeLux, PlaygroundMag, ThisisUnderground, etc.
After presenting their hardware-heavy live show at Berlin's party Geradehaus and spanish festivals Lapsus and Hoteler, their most inmediate plans include gigs at Barcelona's finest festivals Mutek and Sonar, a third release on Minor Planets and a solo EP by JMII on Hivern Discs.
