Out Of Romford and New Decae were often way ahead of their time, and Statue Of Gold may have been the most advanced, and therefore the most divisive of the early releases. Combining trance elements (before that style had been invented) with some heavy techno elements (before that was part of the old skool rave scene) the track is definitely marmite. Those that love it do so entirely, and those that don’t…don’t. Cru-l-t was always a huge fan of the track, and was thrilled to give it a new mix, leaning into the older jungle style with deep aplomb!
