London label Spinning Plates is fast becoming one of the most consistent labels on the scene. Following on from the brilliant sophomore release, which featured Andy Rantzen and Bruno Schmidt, will be the debut of Nekhsa, an alias of a renowned veteran producer. Keeping in line with the label's raw, groove-led sound, Nekhsa provides four storming originals and is backed up by two heavy remixes from NYC's DJ Spider, who provides a perfect hazy counterpoint to Nekhsa skeletal grooves. It's a brilliantly minimalistic cut withrich history of electro greatness running through its vein which comes as no surprise upon listening.
