An exclusive collaboration between two rising names in the blurred area of today's bass music scene. Neat's debut EP 'A Light I Know' released on Airflex Labs a few months ago won support from a wide ar-ray of DJs, producers and promoters, including Sepalcure, Incyde, Jack Dixon, VVV, Whistla, Hush House, Ministry of Sound, Von D, Quantec, Phaeleh and many more. For his second strike, and first on vinyl, he joins forces with Submerse, the hottest new name in UK Garage, to deliver an amazing slow-paced track showcasing their common love for house and new breeds of bass music.
Today's electronic music scene is experiencing an exciting and forward-thinking renewal of house music's style and pattern, and 'Close' is a moody and sensual hybrid that fits perfectly into this niche. Following the path pioneered by others such as Joy Orbison, Braiden, Sigha, Midland, Will Saul, BNJMN or Julio Bashmore, Neat and Submerse deliver a deep and delightful dancefloor worker, backed up with two amaz-ing re-versions.
Widely acclaimed NYC talent Drew Lustman aka FaltyDL unleashes his staggering production skills on a futuristic garage cut, taking the original track to a highly emotional and intense place of 808 mastery, where clipped percussions meet filtered reworks of the original’s theme.
Following that, Jack Dixon, one of UK’s most promising young blood producers, gives 'Close' the heavy treament that is his sound signature. For his first appearance on vinyl after a brilliant debut EP on Silver-back and various acclaimed reworks, Dixon delivers a shimmering remix where swirls of analogue synths fight an uncompromised drum kit, held firm by a massive sub layer that makes it an instant winner.
