Ever since it first aired on Appleblim's Dubstep Allstars Vol 6, calls for a vinyl pressing of 'Babylon' have rung out and echoed back from both sides of the Atlantic and beyond. Marking the first release on Scrub A Dub, a new dubstepfriendly imprint run out of the Scotch Bonnet camp, both cuts here heavy deep meditation tracks with a big injection of rub-a-dub and spatial reggae. --- The usual exemplary high Mungo's standards are in full effect, only this time with increased rhythmic emphasis and an earth-scorching low-end growl on both sides. 'Babylon' keeps faith with the rootical tradition, while 'Dubplate Fi Dem' is some proper psychedelic dub-house-disco inna a classic early 90's Moody Boyz style, and with mastering by the Transition audio alchemists, you can be sure the dance will be moved in seismic proportions every time this drops.
