10th release on FASRAT is the debut record of Mr Yo So; hailing from the West Pomerania region of Poland (same as his label mate Das Komplex), Rafal Reich is an experienced musician. From playing piano in modern jazz groups to woodwinds in a brass band and synths in his home studio, his music displays rare sensibility and an ear for lovely melodies. Delicious brings together six tracks recorded during last few years, from dreamy New Age-ish soundtracks to proper Balearic sunrise/sunset anthems, with obvious echoes of 70s lords of synth. Cheesy, yes, but it's this kind of rich, mature, delicious cheese we all like, don't we?
