Originally released in a limited edition of 500 copies in 1982 Monoton’s second album ‘Monotonprodukt 07’ is now a collector item and also one of the most important album of all-time. It has been voted one of the 100 best records by highly influential UK magazine The Wire. Monoton was founded in 1979 by hypermedia wizard Konrad Becker as an art project that underwent various transformations and collaborations in its exploration of psycho-active sound. A pioneer in experimental electronic music, Becker continued to break new ground in electronic media.‘Monotonprodukt 07’ has been reissued on vinyl by desire (and is still available as a double picture-discs limited to 500 copies. It’s the first time ever that tracks from the album are remixed and desire is proud to had such great artists/producers as US Prositutes, Svengalighost with fellow partner and L.I.E.S. boss and Hospital Productions artist Ron Morelli.
