Info
Straight from the mighty vault of Mitchbal and Chicago Connection Records, Still Music is more than proud to announce the release of “Jack The House” - an unreleased 12” from Mitchbal & Larry Williams, featuring a never heard before remix by Frankie Knuckles.
Larry Williams was the bassist for Chicago disco band OMNI - the creators of “Out Of My Hands - Love’s Taken Over” and was well known for adding just the right amount of funk to anything he worked on. He is also famous for his collaboration with West Philipps on the boogie classic “(I’m Just A Sucker) For A Pretty Face”.
Larry was a close friend of Mitchbal and naturally started working with Mitchbal back in the early Eighties. His first production was for the McGhee “I Got Broke Breakdancing” 12” released by Mitchbal records in 1985.
For this release, Larry Williams drops a killer Italo Disco House tune “Jack The House” (vocal and instrumental). Frankie Knuckles’ remix is absolutely breathtaking, elevating “Jack The House” into a vital classic Chicago House joint.
This is the stuff of legends and it is pretty obvious (for us at least) that “Jack The House” is going to become an essential release for a lot of heads out there. Both original versions and remix are amazing and once again reinforce the historical importance of Mitchbal & Chicago Connection Records as a pioneering label for dance music worldwide.
