Exploited / Minimow is the alter-ego of 25 year old Italian producer Mowgli aka Michele Savasta. His 10 year production career has seen his music blossom, from his early days in Hip-Hop, through Drum & Bass and into House. His 2007 remix of Soul Of Man's 'Scatterbox' really brought him to the worlds attention, and, since last years move to London, he has been signed up to remix high-profile artists including Tricky, X-Press 2 and Simian Mobile Disco. 2008 also saw the release of his heavily support 'Club Life' EP on Southern Fried, and the launch of his very own 'Dead Fish Audio' label. As Minimow, he has already released on Hell Yeah Recordings with 'Where's My Pill', and remixed Lorenz Rhode's 'Motor Cortex' on Exploited. His current release 'Bollyhouse' is for fans of Ananda'esque, fun filled, quirky house music. With the recent influx of ethnic and African samples, it is refreshing to hear something with an Asian flavour. Built around the full rounded sounds of the traditional Tabla and Bayan drums, and woven brilliantly together with its Sitar melody, and Indian Flute. It is topped off with is trippy cut of vocal sample.'Keep Groovin'' is our personal fave. Its stunning use of Jazz Trumpet in the breaks, welded together by the heavy-assed bassline, delightful piano stabs, demon wire-snare-hi-hat sounds and bongo work, make this a sure player, whether you wanna take things deeper or ramp it up...Finally topping off the package is man of the moment 'SIS', who gets his hands on 'Bollyhouse' and turns in a truly delightful re-working. Playing heavily on the flute line, SIS creates a beautiful atmospheric number, dubbing the bassline even further, and dropping some wonderful wooden Xylophone work. This is a fantastic remix!
