Rogue Cat Sounds are back in town with a real treat. Charm 'With You', a warm female soulful number, hits the spot in every way. The original has a nice proto- house production; think Paul Simpson Easy Street Records...dirty DMX drums , sassy slap bass, sharp synth stabs, delayed hand claps and rounding it off Charmaine's vocals melt you right into the groove. On the flip we have N.Y.C.'s Eric Duncan (Rub n tug/Still Going) on remix duties. He builds and builds his mix, slowly dubbing up the vocals, weaving through the jolting synth stabs and slap bass, keeping the drums tight, driving the track nicely until it creeps on up to reveal a super-heavy bassline to jaw dropping effect...tasty! Another classic piece from those cats.
