After closing The Live mix project with the very funky Le Cochon Ep, Masomenos returns with a new serie: The third eye project. This is the first release out of four with 3 tracks featuring the same artist: Fire Tongue. Let's introduce this artist who was born in Cameroun in 1971. As his father was a preacher, Fire Tongue first sources of inspiration came from churches , he was back then already playing guitar, keyboard and accordion as we was only 6 years old. In 1994 he decided to hit the high-road to adventure and headed for Nigeria , in search of new musical sources . That's how he became acquainted with a nation that was into Reggae , High-live , traditional music, Funk, Rock and Afrobeat. His music became a fusion of clean and saturated guitar blues , based on Rock and roots Energy , with all of these other movements . He created a new style that soon became highly popular . People listened and danced to his music in cities and villages all over the country. Then he discovered Fela Kuti . From then on Fire Tongue , already enriched by his spiritual Inheritance from his father and his personal experiences , decided to add a cultural meaning to compositions. He knows lives in Paris, where him & Masomenos met. As they got along pretty well, they spend some days in the studio and produce this 3 funky dubby tribal tracks…
