Manuel Tur is no newcomer now so we’ll spare the introduction, suffice to say he’s on top of his game with recent big tracks for Drumpoet with Dplay and Ovum with Langenberg. His remixes for Phonique, Nick Holder, Jazzanova and D’julz are cropping up all over the sets of those favoring the deeper, underground house sound that Manuel and co are excelling in. Here we have the first single from his debut LP entitled 0201 which we’re delighted to be releasing on Freerange. --- Hot on the heels of the amazing Will Be Mine single we have Golden Complexion, another beauty from 0201, this time featuring the sweet and sublime vocals of Blakkat aka Mark Bell. In its original form this is an almost beatless ballad showing again just how accomplished Manuel is as an all round producer. Just a filtered throbbing pulse and gentle hihats ease the track along leaving worlds of space for the vocal to work its magic. --- On remix duties we have the maverick genius of Pepe Bradock who delivers 2 contrasting reworkings as well as an accapella. His Minimouth Remix keeps things as subtle and delicate as the original but ups the tempo for a deep house mix that reminds us of early Herbert but with the mark of pepe written all over it of course. --- On his Reef Breaks Mix he sticks with the vibe and tempo of the original but goes even more lazy and hazy adding a kick and snare and pushing the FX to the fore.
