Logistics, the ever-ready and much-respected purveyor of the finest jungle flavoured rollers, brings us some superb new material in the run up to his fourth artist album, which will hit the shelves in April 2012. ”We Are One” was debuted as a world exclusive on Bailey’s Radio 1Xtra Drum + Bass Show during the Hospital Records takeover in January. Injecting the original with a fresh, junglistic flavour, Logistics brings in the talents of older brother and fellow Hospital signing, Dan Nu:Tone, as they don their Nu:Logic guise to re-work “We Are One” into a massive amen-driven monster. The pair neatly juxtapose crashing drum rolls and punishing subs with twinkling piano melodies and stretch out the vocal to become a more harmonious, ethereal presence. Sublime stuff here, which is guaranteed to tear up the dancefloor! Over on the flipside it’s Logistics’ original piece “Timelapse”. This one builds from an expansive, widescreen intro into a euphoric, vocal-driven drop and into the main tune, which is dominated by rippling synths, punchy drums with a gritty bassline whirring below and a vocal calling “come to me….save me”. Giving us a glimpse of what we can expect on forthcoming album, this is the sound of classic Hospital.
