The new Light Club 7 inch is a continuance of their ascent into the realms of underground beat king immortality. Somewhere in between the likes of Araabmuzik and sampling records in the library slightly drunk, these feather-weight clubbers have returned to bring us what is the most cohesive release to date.
They have not left behind their affinity for all that is spooky though, real talk. "FAHKEET" sounds like an ancient operatic theatre filled with half vampiric rave zombies and half with guys who wanna listen to Lunice on battered dollar store headphones. Leaving the listener somewhat torn between wanting to C Walk and shadowboxing a pumpkin on devil's night.
Meanwhile on the other side of the seven, "My Way" is totally that Library Crunk, where the listener unwittingly finds themselves skimming thru microfish whilst hammering back jaeger bombs. Almost as though the library has been turned into a strip club and the librarians turn into strippers and the professors start throwing research notes instead of one dollar bills. Truly the most Scholarly Booty track in Light Club's catalouge thus far.
