Since its beginnings, Fracture has followed the formula of releasing upcoming and interesting newcomers, people they believe in, to get them remixed by more established artists. This time it’s none other than UK techno legend James Ruskin stepping up to the task, for a track carefully crafted by Berlin based artist Leiras. Leiras comes from Madrid, and has in the last few years since his move to Germany released a handful of EPs, mostly on his own Ownlife imprint. Abyssal is a trippy and atmospheric cut, the kind of deep techno that can transport you into a second state if dropped at the right time. On remix duty, Ruskin makes it weirder and grittier, slowly and skillfully building the tension from atmospheric to potential peak time material.
