The latest Legendary Sound Research sees label boss Andrei Idu don The Legendary 1979 Orchestra outfit for a quartet of his personal best remixes and dubs. The Amsterdam based producer’s reworking of the Odyssey classic “Inside Out” finally appears on wax after originating from a submission to the DJ History remix competition, with a fresher house beat nudging the disco classic towards a vocal climax. Alongside this, Idu slips in a wonderful little synth driven remix of L'Equipe du Son's "Lesson 1" whilst the flip has him going into deep disco dub territory, with a take on Emeron & Fox's "Dopecity" that can act as a subte bridge between disco and house in a DJ set. Finally, Idu returns to a previous highlight of his remix career, turning a newly stripped down take on "Marwencol" from Saint Petersburg Disco Spin Club which has some real fun with that famous string sample and the thick drum arrangements.
