Kurt Maloo - Afterglow (Version Lindbæk) This track is a re-working of a song by a man who’s Balearic credentials were well established way back in the 80’s as part of Swiss pop group Double. Their Captain Of Her Heart was a huge European pop hit, but tracks like Woman of The World have firmly established them as favourites with DJs such as Harvey, who included it on his Sarcastic Disco mix. The original comes from Kurts most recent solo LP Summer Of Better times on the Verve Forecast label, and in it’s original is a beautiful slice of guitar led, Jazz-tinged summer pop music. Rune has upped the tempo and added some tough electronics, while retaining some of the original instrumentation and of course Kurts dreamlike sublime vocals, to turn this into a Balearic flavoured House track of gigantic proportions. Sophie Zelmani - If I Could (Version Lindbæk) This side sees him work his magic on Sophie Zelmanis beautiful acoustic folk-pop, taking it on a psychedelic journey into blissed-out, Balearic sunset territory.
