It’s time for Phonogramme to explore different styles and releasing one of its most successful project ! From France, Kris Tidjan composes music layers in the high sphere of soul jazz. Playing most instruments by himself and singing, he also presents music live with musicians. On his first ep “Floating Therapy” he comes with “Feel The Love” & “Mystic Bantu Trip”, african music accents & a strong rare groove touch, mastercut oriented under the supervision of Professor Inc. A1 featuring Fela Kuti's accent with an additional sax played by Christian Rodenberg while A2 reaches a 11:11 timing with peacefulness and aerial feeling. On the other side we go deeper into the artist's influences, ethnic vocals melted with Tidjan's “son of the sun” beautiful refrain & Meimouna Coffi at vocal chorus, some soul jazz broken beat like we rarely hear today, very strong and contributing to the genre greatly, “shining from the deep space”.
