Khruangbin are a three-piece band from Texas, formed of Laura Lee on bass, Mark Speer on guitar, and Donald Johnson on drums. Taking influence from 1960's Thai funk - their name literally translates to "Engine Fly" in Thai - Khruangbin is steeped in the bass heavy, psychedelic sound of their inspiration, Tarantino soundtracks and surf-rock cool. Khruangbin team up with Boogiefuturo, the off shoot label of Bristol based Futureboogie Recordings, with a special collaborative 12" disc featuring remixes from a veritable line up of cutting edge producers. Session Victim, DJ Milo, Maribou State and Vuelo all come correct with re-workings of Khruangbin originals that, collectively, make up for one of the most varied and interesting remix packages of the year. Pressed on 12" vinyl, hand stamped and including an A4 art illustration insert, with hand drawings from Laura from Khruangbin, this package come as a limited pressing.
