We are proud to present a hot, new, exciting project: Fist or Finger; a collaboration between like minded souls Jozif Goodman and Craig Richards. This is Fist or Finger Volume one, which features an original track by Jozif and a reinterpretation by Craig Richards on the flip. This is the format that the forthcoming releases will take. Jozif’s original ‘Beat in Space’ is monster of a tune. A heavy ass, bass driven slice of sinister analogue space funk, complete with dark, ominous stabs, enchanting tripped out breakdown, creaking doors and beats fit for a king…‘Watch yer bassbins I’m telling ya, we got beats in space”. Fans of Jamie Jones, Jesse Rose, Pezzner and Robert James will adore this, proper future funk! On the flip and Craig takes the beats into another dimension. Slowing the pace of the original down and taking us on a journey beyond the stratosphere. Craig’s exquisite ambient take on the original serves as a great counterpoint to the dancefloor devastation of the A side. Craig successfully employs great use of spoken word samples and his own eloquent piano skills, which add just enough ethereal melancholic resonance to his interpretation to create something quite unique. A sonic mindscape, beyond time and space. Jozif, has been very buy of late with notable releases this year such as the acclaimed 'Chicago EP' on Wolf + Lamb, the ‘Coca Grand EP’ on Vitalik, as well as a release in conjunction with the much lauded Balance series and the fabric favourite 'Tiger Tiger' finally seeing the light of day. He also has forthcoming releases on Matt Tolfrey's Leftroom, Agoria's Infine and Paul Woolford's Intimacy. As well as being musical director of Fabric and resident DJ, Craig has also found the time to embark upon another new project as well as with Fist Or Finger, with longtime cohort and partner in crime Howie B, in the shape of a new label ‘Blunder’. Blunder will feature releases from Craig, Howie, Billy Nasty, Keith Tenniswood amongst others and guest appearances from some very salubrious guests. Watch out for the next volume of Fist or Finger, due later this year. However, its highly conceptual, limited edition nature means the releases are limited to 300 copies only on vinyl.
