A few months ago, we came around with the nearly forgotten LOSOUL hit „RAW BEAUTY“ (Play 145), which was originaly released in the year 2000 by LUKE SOLOMON’s in the meantime sucessfully relaun- ched label Classic. After Luke has not only given his instant OK for this re-release, but also made an ex- traordinary remix for the flipside, it was obvious that it’s time to revitalise the longtime friendship between LUKE SOLOMON and Playhouse again (just remember all the great tracks and remixes Luke released under the name of FREAKS on Playhouse). So, IT’S IN THE RHYTHM by FREAKS’ guitarist JONNY ROCK & LUKE SOLOMON is the result of this undertaking. And what can we say than: „Experiment succeed!“ IT’S IN THE RHYTHM copes to transform the sound of the early FREAKS-records into the here and now of 2009: Overjoyed House collides with the winking interpretation of funk, we all know from LUKE SOLOMON for years. And in addition to that, both freaks deliver an oldschool acid-version of the same track for the flipside. This will definitly cause some unforgetable wild party-memories this summer.
